Self-Confidence Test

Welcome to your Self-Confidence Test. The test is based on a worksheet included in The Self-Confidence Workbook by Barbara Markway and Celia Ampel. This book is included in our recommended Resources.

The American Psychological Association defines self-confidence as “a belief that one is capable of successfully meeting the demands of a task.” Self-confidence can also refer to a general sense of trust in your ability to deal effectively with most situations that you encounter.

Having a healthy level of self-confidence helps you become more successful in your personal and professional life. Research shows that people who are more self-confident confident tend to achieve more academically.

Confidence can also help you take on new challenges and responsibilities. Tackling new things often is key to professional advancement and personal growth.
