I specialize in personal growth coaching, helping you become the person you want to be. In a relaxed non-judgmental atmosphere we set smart goals, establish accountability and celebrate success. There is no cookie cutter plan, this journey is specific to you. The answers and direction are inside you, I am just here to keep you on track, and help with the bumps.
Experience Makes Us Who We Are
I have 40 years of work/life experience, a BA in communication, and I hold certifications as a trainer, mentor, mediator and coach. Coaching is serious work that can get hard sometimes. But I love it and we manage to have some fun. My clients usually find happiness along the way by using my SMILE Coach Model.
I have experience as a teacher, college counselor, and for 10 years I was a training director for the U.S. Department of Homeland Security where I was in charge of the on-boarding process and personal development of over 400 employees. Helping people set goals and develop personal skills like self-esteem, communication, forming positive habits, prioritizing, organization, and relationships, set the stage for me to become a coach.
Coaching Method
I like using SMART goals to teach my clients how to write their own goals so they can remain successful when they conclude coaching. These develop naturally into action steps and achievable results.
Helping people to become the best person they can be is at the root of my life philosophy. I’ve always worked for non-profit agencies or organizations. To me, it made sense to help people improve their lives and by extension, the lives of the people around them.
As I worked with people before and after I became a coach, one thing became obvious. The love you have for something brings out the joy. And when you include humor with that love and you have a lifetime of experience, being a coach is not just what I do, it’s who I am.

If you have never tried to find a life coach before, you are in good company. First, it is important to find a coach who is:
- Certified
- Compatible with you
- Flexible in scheduling
Affordability is also important. I keep my rates low and offer discounts for seniors and students.
